BIO

AARTI KAUSHAL CHOPRA is an award-winning, multi-talented visionary entrepreneur, advocate, educator, and leader whose family has been rooted in rich community service for decades.
She is the founder/ president of “Be Sanskriti Legacy”, a uniquely new social impact organization that promotes solutions for humanitarian causes through traditional cultural arts & education, and one that engages government leaders, policy makers, non-profit leaders, business leaders and all key stakeholders.
In January 2025, Aarti became the first American-raised Indian to receive a South Asian American woman leader award for bringing together business, arts, culture, and philanthropy in a unique model. She has extensive career experience as a special education teacher and resourceful educator for vulnerable student populations and more than 32 years as an accomplished Indian dancer, becoming one of the best in Southern California up until 2016.
Growing up, Aarti watched her grandparents and mother, Dr. Asha Chopra, create an inviting home, where every person who walked through their door was warmly welcomed. They instantly became family over their tradition of Indian chai and her grandma’s world famous mouthwatering Indian culinary delights. Since before the age of 18, she and her family continually volunteered for countless philanthropic and community organizations, a tradition she continues to uphold now that her family is no more. Despite struggles and setbacks growing up in both divorced and blended step-family households, in her own life Aarti has honored and exemplified the examples of resiliency, hard work and smart work, community service, and the never-give-up grit of her mother and grandparents.
Aarti is proud to be British born, equally rooted in both cultures as an Indian raised in America. Her focus now is on creating the Chopra family legacy of growing a conscious tribe that promotes wellness, positivity, peace, and unity for humane causes, through the medium of small business and traditional Indian artistic heritage. The long-term vision through her organization is to hold multi-cultural annual events showcasing traditional dance, music, ethnic fashion, martial arts, and more. In April 2024, she launched her signature stage production titled “The Ancient Indian Goddess”, and in 2025, her long-term goal is to make this show the first traditional Indian and multi-cultural Broadway-level theatrical production, specifically created to raise solutions for social causes.
